ZPEB’s Subsidiary in Ethiopia

Introduction

In May, 2004, ZPEB successfully entered into the market in Ethiopia and smoothly acquired the project of 2D seismic data acquisition at swamp area in block Gambella in Ethiopia. After nearly one year’s operation, the seismic survey of about 1500km in swamp and transitional zone was completed with 40 days ahead of the schedule and won honor for ZPEB. At present, the equipment for seismic survey are in Ethiopia waiting for another 2D seismic survey. ZPEB is now making active preparation for bringing its drilling crew to Ethiopia.

Seismic Survey: One 2D seismic survey crew with equipment of 408UL
Drilling: One 50D rig with the maximum drilling depth of 5000m

At present, Chinese employees of 5, and foreign employees of 7 are in Ethiopia.
