Brief Introduction to the Company
Zhongyuan Petroleum Exploration Bureau (ZPEB), as the membership of International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) and China International Contractors Association, has expanded into overseas markets performing petroleum engineering and technical services since 1992, and is one of the first Chinese petroleum enterprises stepping into overseas markets. By the end of 2009, ZPEB had 116 operational crews performing engineering contracts in 12 countries as Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Kazakhstan, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Ecuador, Nigeria, Kuwait, Iran, Algeria and Mauritania, having 3,823 Chinese employees, 1,590 expatriate employees and annual output value of more than RMB 4 billion yuan. ZPEB offers its services involving 10 specialties such as drilling, geophysical prospecting, wire line logging, cementing, mud logging, workover service, design and construction of oilfield surface facilities, construction, and is capable of contracting of the packaged drilling and EPC surface construction projects. It has accomplished 443 major engineering projects successively in overseas countries with cumulative contract value of USD 3.428 billion and revenue of USD 2.69 billion. ZPEB has been ranking as the top 50 of the strongest international engineering contractors for 10 consecutive years since 2000, and was rated as one of the top 225 strongest international engineering contractors by the Engineering News Record (ENR) in 2007 and 2008.
ZPEB International performs the unified management, organization and implementation of ZPEB overseas petroleum engineering projects on behalf of Zhongyuan Petroleum Exploration Bureau. Over the years, ZPEB is committed to building the global comprehensive contractor of petroleum engineering and technical service, adhering to the business concept of "standardized management, mutual benefits and win-win, footholding on overseas projects and long-term development", established a long-term and stable partnership with the well-known international oil companies such as Saudi Aramco of Saudi Arabia, Total of France and Petronas of Malaysia, and becoming one of the strongest comprehensive petroleum engineering contractors in Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Kazakhstan. In recent years, ZPEB has made a rapid development in the Middle East region, and has cooperated with Halliburton performing the packaged drilling project for Saudi Aramco. ZPEB owns a total of 33 drilling and workover rigs in the Middle East region with the annual output value accounting for 50% of the total revenue for ZPEB overseas projects.
